I have been out in The Garden again.
My Mother calls this Wedding Cake and that is the only name I have ever known for it.
It is very good for ground cover and rapidly spreads.

Thanks to my Mother-in-law and some research I did on The Internet ,I now know various other names for this plant :
Snow in Summer
Wooly mouse-ear chickweed , Dusty miller , Jerusalem star , Snow plant .

The Latin name is :
Cerastium Tomenosum
