This is St Brides, Fleet Street, the journalists’ church. It’s actually
set slightly back from Fleet Street, just off Ludgate Circus. The
traditional wedding cake is allegedly based on its spire. Bridewell
Royal Palace was next door, as immortalised in "the Rake’s Progress" by
Hogarth.
