It has become normal practice in England to give “favours” to your wedding guests – in some cases just to the ladies. These are usually a small token of some sort.
The same goes for Spain except that the guests tend to receive much more. As you can see, yesterday we collected, a wooden fan, a bar of soap, a packet for 4 cigarettes, a miniature of Bombay Sapphire gin and a half bottle of red wine. The small bag is rice which is meant to be thrown at the bride and groom.
