I used to have double the amount of books (and bookshelves) – all crammed into my little office space. In January and February, I donated 220 books to the library. Had to make room for the loom! I ended up giving away most of my fiction collection – I figured that I barely read fiction anymore, and if I felt a hankering to, I could go to the library. I also sold some of my old college and graduate school textbooks on Amazon. Pretty penny for obscure texts about dead languages and Near Eastern Art and Archaeology and Library Science…. However, I did not deny all of my past -there are a few remnants on the shelf. (And two more bookshelves that aren’t in the photo… this doesn’t include all of my knitting books – they stay with the yarn downstairs)

…Deciding what books to take with me. I am currently reading The Wild Trees by Richard Preston, so that will go with me, but I need another one to take along as well. Luckily, I have a few to choose from.
