I got my first pair of glasses in 1993 right before I went off to college. Everybody else in my family wore glasses and for some reason it just took longer until the bad eyesight caught up with me. After that trip to the eye doctor I didn’t go back for an eye exam until 2008. My eyesight had slowly gotten worse and I had insurance so I figured why not get a tune up. My prescription had definitely changed and I decided to get rid of my Harry Potter glasses and go with something a little more modern. Today was my annual eye exam and I put in an order for some new glasses. I think these new specs will work out well for me.
While I was picking out frames the doctor let me try these custom glasses (she put in specific lenses) on so I could see how it might look if I got Lasik eye surgery. It was hard to get a sense of how things would look because these things were so awkward. When I put them on I knew right away I needed to get a photo of this look. The doctor was cool with me taking a few pics and I made sure to give her a moo card so she could check out my project. Once again, it is awesome that people are supportive of my 365 project and are letting me take photos in different places like this.
