HONOLULU (March 30, 2012) Adm. Cecil D. Haney, commander of U.S. Pacific Fleet, congratulates Steelworker 1st Class Louis Salazar following the announcement of his selection as the Pacific Fleet Sea Sailor of the Year during a ceremony at the Hale Koa Hotel. Salazar, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 40, will travel to Washington D.C. to be meritoriously promoted to Chief Petty Officer. The ceremony was the culmination of a weeklong professional development program that recognized the finalists’ accomplishments and focused on the Navy’s history and heritage.
