Charlotte Roberts (nee Horrocks) – Manchester, England – 1901 (?)
Charlotte Roberts nee Horrocks, sister of Elizabeth Lane nee Horrocks, and great-aunt of John Edgar Lane. The photograph was taken by James Molyneux of Manchester. The date of the photograph is unknown, but it is thought to have been taken around the turn of the 19th/20th centuries, at the time of her wedding. Charlotte Horrocks married William Roberts at Northwhich, Cheshire, UK, in the December quarter (i.e., October, November or December) of 1901. Although she was thought to be the youngest child (her birth date has not been found), she looks much older than Elizabeth was at the time of her wedding. It is possibly that she had spent time looking after her mother. The print was carried by Gertrude Lane to Australia when she emigrated in 1914.
Manchester, England.
